The challenge

A cement plant needed continuous, reliable emission data from its kiln stack for regulatory reporting. The flue gas carried a heavy dust load and high moisture, which can block sampling probes and cause losses of water-soluble gases in conventional systems.

What GPIPL delivered

GPIPL supplied a hot-wet CEMS that keeps the sample above its dew point all the way to the analyzer, with a heated sampling probe using a ceramic filter and automatic purge to handle the dust. A laser dust monitor and data acquisition with real-time transmission completed the system.

GPIPL engineers carried out installation, commissioning and calibration, followed by an AMC.

Results

  • Continuous SO₂, NOx, CO, CO₂, O₂ and dust data for the plant team and regulatory reporting.
  • Reduced probe blockages thanks to the purge design.
  • One partner for supply, calibration and maintenance.
