Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS)

Complete, compliance-ready CEMS for industrial stacks – gas analyzers, dust monitors, flow measurement, sampling and data acquisition, designed, manufactured, installed and supported by GPIPL.

Overview

A Continuous Emission Monitoring System measures what leaves an industrial stack, around the clock. It gives plant teams real-time emission data for process control and gives regulators the continuous, verifiable records they require from CPCB / SPCB-notified industries.

Configurations to suit every stack

GPIPL builds CEMS in the configuration your process needs: cold-dry extractive systems that remove moisture before analysis, hot-wet systems that keep the sample above its dew point so water-soluble gases are not lost, in-situ TDLAS / DOAS analyzers mounted directly on the stack, and explosion-proof systems for hazardous areas.

Parameters we monitor

Typical systems measure SO₂, NOx (NO, NO₂), CO, CO₂, O₂ and dust, together with flue gas temperature, pressure, velocity and flow. Where required, systems are extended to HCl, HF, NH₃, VOCs, mercury, heavy metals, odour gases and greenhouse gases.

One partner from design to data

Analyzers, sampling probes, heated lines, conditioning units, flow monitors and the data acquisition system are engineered to work together. GPIPL handles installation, commissioning, calibration against traceable standards and long-term AMC, so your data stays accurate and online.

Frequently asked questions

What is a CEMS?

A Continuous Emission Monitoring System continuously measures pollutants and flue gas parameters at a stack and records the data for process control and regulatory reporting.

Cold-dry or hot-wet – which do I need?

Cold-dry systems remove moisture before analysis and suit most combustion stacks. Hot-wet systems keep the sample hot so water-soluble gases such as HCl, NH₃ or SO₂ in wet flue gas are not lost. Our engineers recommend the right type after reviewing your stack conditions.

Can the data be sent to the pollution control board?

Yes. GPIPL systems include data acquisition with real-time data transmission and support for CPCB / SPCB connectivity.

Do you provide calibration and AMC after installation?

Yes. GPIPL provides calibration, preventive maintenance and annual maintenance contracts with fast after-sales support.
