Multi-gas FTIR monitoring at a waste incineration plant
FTIR multi-gas analysis with HCl / HF monitoring for the complex flue gas of a waste incineration plant.
The challenge
A waste incineration plant needed to monitor acid gases such as HCl and HF alongside SO₂, NOx, CO and other components in a hot, moist and variable flue gas.
What GPIPL delivered
GPIPL supplied and commissioned an online FTIR multi-gas analyzer with heat-traced sampling to prevent condensation, supported by TDLAS-based HCl / HF monitoring, with automatic zero, calibration and self-test.
Results
- Simultaneous measurement of many gases from one analyzer.
- No condensation losses of water-soluble acid gases.
- Lower routine workload with automatic calibration.
